 Free medical outreach brings eye surgeries, medication, and eyeglasses to underserved communities in Abule Egba, Ojodu Berger and Ikorodu. LoveWorld Medicaid has announced the successful completion of its Vision 10,000 initiative, a large-scale humanitarian healthcare outreach that recently delivered free medical care to more than 2,500 beneficiaries across three communities in Lagos State: Abule Egba, Ojodu Berger and Ikorodu. Held under the theme “Restoring Sight. Restoring Hope. Transforming Lives.”, the initiative set out to tackle one of the most preventable causes of hardship in low-income communities: untreated vision impairment. For many of the families reached, poor eyesight had become a barrier to work, schooling and independence, while the cost of eye care placed treatment far beyond reach.
